This year's edition expands to the adjacent trading hall of the Diamond Club of Antwerp (Diamantclub van Antwerpen) and will increase the number of exhibitors from 40 in 2010 to 60 this time.
The Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair is sponsored by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC).
Antwerp Diamond Bourse president Artur Beller said, "The fair organizers have invited high-end jewelry firms to attend this exclusive, by-invitation only event. This is an opportunity for these preferred buyers to connect with a wide range of Antwerp diamond companies."
Beller pointed out that Antwerp is a logical venue for the trade fair given its position as the hub of the global diamond business. "More than 50 percent of the world's polished diamonds are traded in our city."
"No other diamond center is able to provide a larger and more varied selection of polished diamonds, at such highly competitive prices. Add to that the excellent financial, shipping and delivery services offered in Antwerp, and you have a winner," he stated.
