Provident Jewelry Store, in Jupiter, FL has been robbed about $7 million worth of jewelry and watches sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Florida police suspect that sophisticated thieves neutralized an alarm system.
Local News Channel 5 recorded store co-owner Robert Samuels saying that burglars allegedly cut a hole in the fence of a neighboring daycare area and then scaled the jewelry store wall and entered through the roof.
Then the thieves bypassed a security system and broke into the store's safe. Police were at the store, which is located at 28 W. Indiantown Road, all day Monday, looking for evidence and reviewing surveillance video.
“Obviously someone real good, well planned did this," Samuels told News Channel 5, adding that his store is insured.
“They got it, they got everything. This is season so we have to work hard to get open as quickly as possible. We have to repair the roof damage get the showcases rebuilt, get the vault repaired.”
