Manolo Blahnik Launches Jewelry Line, Teams Up with Rosa Tous
Called Manolo Blahnik for Tous...Famed shoemaker Manolo Blahnik is teaming up with Rosa Tous for transforming Blahnik’s famed Campari shoe into jewelry.
The idea came up last summer when Blahnik met jeweler Rosa Tous in Madrid. Tous told Blahnik she’d love to design a piece for him. After much brainstorming, Blahnik suggested that Tous create his Campari shoe as a charm. Tous added that she’d have the charm hang from a gold chain with a diamond button.
Tous said in a statement: “I am delighted with the agreement. Manolo Blahnik shoes are beautiful and an amazing mix between trends and classicism.”
The Campari mary janes have been featured on numerous films and TV shows—perhaps most famously on Sex and the City, where Manolo-loving lead character Carrie Bradshaw dubbed them an “urban shoe myth”.
