WFDB Creates Special Website for Presidents’ Meeting
Set to take place April 11-13...The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) created a website specifically for the 2011 WFDB presidents' meeting, which will take place April 11-13, at the Jumeirah Meydan Hotel in Dubai.
"Dubai is in an excellent position to host this biennial event," stated Avi Paz, president of WFDB.
"I am sure that that the meeting in Dubai will be a very positive experience for all bourse presidents and participants. Dubai's diamond imports and exports doubled in volume by the end of 2010 - a year that saw the recovery of the world diamond industry and is a harbinger for an upward trend in 2011."
Meeting host, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre executive chairman, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, said, "We welcome the chance to hold the upcoming presidents' meeting in the United Arab Emirates. This opportunity demonstrates that Dubai has successfully joined the ranks of leading world diamond centers."
