Bangalore to Host Best of India Jewellery Show 2011

The Art of Jewellery Magazine and Jeweller’s Association of Bangalore will host the Best of India Jewellery Show 2011 (BIJS 2011).
This show is scheduled in time for Akshaya Tritiya and will feature more than 150 stalls with retail exhibitors from Bangalore and across India displaying jewelry collections and new products.
BIJS 2011 will have Ramya, renowned Kannada actress as the brand ambassador. Ramya represents the "NextGen actress of Bollywood, displaying state’s cultural attributes with elegance and poise of today’s youth," organizers stated.
Sumesh Wadhera, managing director of The Art of Jewellery said that BIJS promises to offer a credible platform for jewelry trade.
Mahesh Pathi, president of The Jewelers Association of Bangalore, explained that this event was developed to serve a long-held belief that Bangalore carried great potential for a consumer jewelry show.
Exhibitors was announced so far, include Abaran, C Krishniah Chetty and Sons, Neelkanth, and Arnav. Product varieties will include gold and diamond jewelry, diamonds, platinum and fine jewelry, watches, silverware, and equipment.
