Taiba Co. to Build 220,000 Square ft Gold Factory in Jeddah
The plant will employ 800...Jeddah, the second most important city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are to build the largest gold factory in the world in the end of 2011.
A 220,000 square foot processing facility is under construction by the Taiba Co. for Gold & Jewelry, according to Arab News. The plant will employ 800 when completed.
Saudi Arabia doubled it gold reserves to 322 tons in 2010, and consumer demand for gold in the region continues to increase. Taiba Co. reportedly has 2,500 retail outlets in the region.
