Gem Expert Patricia Syvrud Launches Joia Consulting

Gem expert Patricia Syvrud has launched an online jewelry collection cataloging and valuation on January 20. Joia Consulting services also include collection risk management, capitalization plans for liquidation or estate transition, and acquisition and sales consulting.

Patricia SyvrudSyvrud received her graduate gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). As a consultant to the curator of the National Gem and Mineral Collection at the Smithsonian Institution, Syvrud cataloged the entire National Gem Collection.

Consultants joining the Joia team have worked with Tiffany & Co., the Smithsonian Institution, GIA, the San Diego Natural History Museum, Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, and QVC.
