A man stole several pieces of jewelry from Lionshead Jewelers in Vail, Colorado on November 30.

According to the Vail Police Department, the man entered the store with four other people. Two members distracted employees, while the other two members committed the crime. Police say the man reached over the counter, opened a display case from behind and took the jewelry. Among the stolen jewelry were a distinct necklace and ring.

Vail Police Department detective sergeant Christopher Botkins tells JCK that the jewelry was worth $35,000.

The crime was caught on video surveillance. Botkins says no arrests have been made and police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man."We're getting some tips and following up on leads," Botkins says.
