ALROSA Wins Top Bids to Develop New Deposits Yakutia

ALROSA won top bids to develop three alluvial diamond deposits Yakutia.

The new deposits were awarded to ALROSA through a tender in Moscow and were listed as Gusiny Ruchei (stream), the Ebelyakh River and the Dalnyaya Pipe.

ALROSA’s winning bids paid out more than RUB 600 million or about $20 million for the projects, according to Prime Tass news.

ALROSA’s operations are located primarily in Yakutia with headquarters in Mirny and Moscow.

The mining giant expects to have produced about $2.3 billion in rough this year and to have sold about $3.3 billion to the market. Another $872 million of rough were to be sold to Gokhran.
