The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) opened registration for gem and jewelry industry recruiters for the New York career fair to be held in late July at the Javits Center.
GIA's recruiting event will offer panel discussions, one-on-one career coaching, and hiring opportunities for various careers within the field.
“Bringing this program back to one of the world’s most significant jewelry hubs better serves our constituents in this region,” said Kathryn Kimmel, GIA’s vice president, chief marketing officer and co-founder of Career Fair.
“Recruiters have the opportunity to meet motivated, talented candidates with wide-ranging skills -- many of them GIA graduates or students.”
GIA’s New York Jewelry Career Fair will take place during the JA New York summer show on July 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Recruiting sessions are planned for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Employers interested in recruiting at this year’s Career Fair can contact GIA’s Career Services office at 800.421.7250, extension 4093, or by emailing kimberly.overlin-at-gia.edu.
