Kalyan Jewellers to Launch Showroom in Hyderabad
Located at Panjagutta...Kalyan Jewellers will open a 15,000 square foot showroom in Hyderabad. The new store, located at Panjagutta, will carry the entire line of gold, platinum and diamonds created by Kalyan Jewellery.
"This store, which will be our 21st is planned to open on December 16, 2010, will allow us to expand our brand reach to highly fashionable and traditional jewelry consumers in this region," said TS Kalyanaraman, chairman of Kalyan Group.
"Our customers will have the possibility to discover the Kalyan Jewellery universe - a universe which combines tradition, innovation and remains true to the unique know-how of our craftsmen with over 200,000 designs in yellow, white gold, and gemstones for ladies and men, along with our latest designs and separate jewelry items in the active product line."
In addition, the retailer announced yesterday that it has appointed male celebrity Nagarjuna as the new face of Kalyan Jewellers' brand.
Nagarjuna just completed shooting for print and television ads. He said that Kalyan's collections were "impressive and include many elements that reflect not only the rich Indian family tradition but also its centuries old cultural heritage." Nagarjuna joins the list of the company's current brand ambassadors Mammootyy, Parbhu and Shivrajkumar.
Kalyanaraman said, "We are delighted to have megastar Nagarjuna as our brand ambassador. He is known for propagating quality cinema with clean entertainment. His movies not only rise above the typical commercial movies but also enhance our heritage, rich tradition and family values and these characteristics beautifully weave into our brand ethos."
The retail group has 20 stores across the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Kalyan Group plans to open 21 more stores by end of 2011, which include seven new stores in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Kalyan Group is the parent company for the brands Kalyan Silks, Kalyan Sarees, Kalyan Jewellers and Kalyan Collections. Kalyan Jewellers is a leader in maintaining gold quality and pricing standards through its "Fight against Impure Gold" campaign. It is also pioneered fixed pricing policy for products and the first company to introduce rate tag in retail jewelry business.
Kalyan Jewellers recently launched lines for diamonds, children's jewelry and wedding collections. It will soon roll out vintage collections an extensive selection of typically hand-crafted designs offered in numerous metals, sizes and gemstones.
"What we are trying to offer is something very distinct and different from what everyone else has," Kalyanaraman added.
